Sky Map 2000 Android – Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 22, 2026

This policy applies to the Sky Map 2000 Android application. The data controller is M4C.PL Marcin Szewczyk-Wilgan, NIP PL6391758393.

Data handled by the app

The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs or Internet permission. It does not collect, transmit or share personal data, device identifiers or location data with the developer or third parties.

If you choose Use my location, the app requests Android location permission and uses your approximate or precise location only on your device to calculate the local sky view. This is optional; you can instead select a city or enter coordinates manually. The app stores the selected location and settings locally so that it can restore them on a later launch.

Saving images

If you choose to save a sky map as PNG, the app stores the image locally in Pictures/Sky Map 2000. PNG metadata may contain the selected location or coordinates, date, time zone, map view and active layers. The image becomes available to apps only when you grant them access to it or share it yourself.

Your choices

You can use the app without granting location permission. You can revoke location permission in Android settings, delete saved images in the Gallery, and remove stored location and settings by clearing Sky Map 2000 app data in Android settings.
